Here is a restaurant, well a cafe, that serves fresh good produce in a simple and sensible way. How about 6 oysters freshly shucked served with a large slice of lemon, two fillets of grilled King George Whiting with a crisp salad and hot fries. I wish Paul's was in Melbourne, where insolence has taken the place of interest by...

This takes fish and chip shops to a whole new level - very classy place. You choose your fish and it is cooked to perfection. Dine in or takeaway. Served with gourmet salad and crispy potatoes. Very lovely food, i'll be coming back for more!

I visited again for the first time since 2010.
I won't be hurrying back. It's no better than it was on my last visit. I suspect they trade on past reputation, as well as their location in the busy cafe/ restaurant strip.
If you want simply prepared tasty fish at reasonable prices, I suggest you go to the other "Paul's"...

Gouger St is full of restaurants mostly Chinese. This one is an old fashioned fish shop/restaurant. Fresh fish simply cooked which is the best way.
