There are other more reviewed places on trip advisor at Port Douglas that fall short. I think 2 Fish is significantly under-rated. I loved the Moreton Bay Bugs with Penang sauce. (For those in horror ... it's an Australian crustacean - think a small lobster or large prawn with a broad, flat head). Truly wonderful!!

Had a great evening. The staff was attentive & friendly, the unknown McPherson chardonnay very good and the food excellent ... especially the Morton Bay Bugs! A definite do-over!

The menu indicates this is an expensive place to eat, but the early deal (order before 6.30) is good at $28 for starter and main. The quality of food and service is high, and neither is lower quality for early-birders taking advantage of the deal.
