We had a lovely night at Ecco. Food was fabulous although the chicken was a little over cooked and a bit dry. All the other meals were awesome. We took out two children (aged 10 and 12), pleasant to see them treated as paying customers instead of being ignored as so often happens at some of the city restaurants. Sevice... More

Entertaining media guests on a recent function in Brisbane, i had changed to this resturant at the last minute from another which I was a bit nervous about, and I am very glad i did. The private dining facilities here were ideal, with a totally seperate room that catered for the 20 guests we had well into the night. The... More

We spent the last night of our two week trip to Australia and New Zealand in Brisbane and capped off our vacation with the best dinner of the trip. The food, atmosphere and staff were great! We had read about the restaurant and it had been described as "petite" so we were expecting a "hole in the wall". The dinning... More

Doesn't happen very often to me. My daughter felt the same way. We almost dined in silence as we looked up at each other wide eyed and nodding. Homemade pistachio sourdough. The most perfect green salad- perky, cold with a classic vinaigrette that they so graciously gave me the recipe for- incredible entrees that were so muti leveled in flavor... More

Ecco was certainly a special experience for us. The service was prompt and extremely pleasant. Staff are willing to assist with explanations of menu and advise on wine. The food was of high quality and beautifully presented. Truly a great dining experience. We even bought the 'Classic Ecco' recipe book. We will return.

We live locally & had been meaning to go to this restaurant for 10 years, so we had our Wedding Anniversary Dinner there last night & were told when we booked that we could arrive at 6 p.m. but the other sitting started at 8.p.m as they were booked out. They sure were! Every table was taken by 6.30 &... More

Well it would have been lonely if my dear wife hadn't been with me: we attended for a pre-show dinner and shared the restaurant with only one other table! Needless to say the service was spectacular: and the food was beautifully presented, and great to eat. Unfortunately we couldn't 'get a feel' for the place because there were so few... More

Food was fresh, service was excellent without being intrusive. The food was stacked high on fresh veggies, and game meats were available. It was quite expensive for our tastes which is why we wouldn't return, but if I had a rich uncle come to town, this is where I would take him.

Despote the praise from customers and critics, Ecco in Brisbane has significant shortcomings. The dishes are well cooked, but the quantities also for Australians levels are minimal. On February 22, 2013 as entreé se sere served three thin slices of salami of veni sin (up to 20 gr.) with invisible slices of dried vegetables. The main dish contained three small... More

I was given a gift voucher for Christmas to E'cco. I was very excited as I had been to E'cco some years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were very good but I have to admit to being disappointed with the meals. 4 of us dined together and we all agreed that while the food was good... More
