We went here last weekend, I have heard that it was suppose to be pretty good, so we finally tried it. The fish tasted pretty good. My husband and my mother kept talking about the barramundi and the flake and how good it tasted I had cod and it was fine...the portion size is on the small side for the... More

Well, it is hard to put words in place for this place, it is beyond words... Good! I ate here 4 years ago to try their salt, pepper & garlic calamari. WOW! To only spend the next 4 years searching for another place to serve calamari as good. There is none! Four years later, a 1400km road trip (not just... More

This simple cafe is consistently excellent. If you're looking for great value, really fresh good quality seafood, this is the place to go. The service is fast and friendly, the decor very basic. I'm really fussy about the quality of my seafood, and I have never been let down by The Fishmongers Wife. I just keep coming back for more! More

This isn't a place you'd go to for a romantic night out. The surroundings are basic and so are the decor, service and meal presentation. The food is great... you can have fish prepared in a variety of ways it always seems to be fresh and I think it gives value for money. More

Went with another couple and the total cost was under $90 for 4 meals. The fish was obviously fresh and was very nice. Plenty of options to choose from and on the menu's it is clearly defined where the fish is from which I appreciated. There is definitely cheaper fish and chip places around but we will go back here... More

Firstly, parents of Gluten Intollerent kids are celebrating, and so are their fish and chips starved kids! My child hasn't had fish and chips for 6 months because the batter has wheat products normally, now he can so he's a happy little boy. :) Secondly, i have never had seafood cooked so perfectly, anywhere. Not overcooked, not undercooked and the... More

It is official - "Fish and chips don't have to be stodgy"! - We love the light touch on the tasty salt and pepper calamari and the burst of fresh flavours witht the grilled, marinated fish, it gives you room to indulge in the superb beer battered chips with garlic aoli, WOW! A real treat and pleases everyone. We keep... More
