I love my tapas! So much so that I preferred the bar selection to the restaurant menu. Went with family and everyone enjoyed the fabulous food, wine and informative service! Jamon selection was to die for. More

I really cannot fault the service or the food at Ortiga. Book ahead for the restaurant which is downstairs or turn up at the bar for some awesome tapas, sangria, vino or cocktails. What I found the most impressive was the explanation of the food once it is served at the table. The wait-staff remind you of the ingredients through... More

Rated by Gourmet Travellor as Best New Australian Restaurant in 2010 ..or 2011. Professional staff and two levels of differing forms of dining offers. Pricey..but they invested in the restaurant including rumour has it, the owner took his chef and manager on a trip to Spain for a month prior to opening..to absorb :) More

I dont mind the price but the assessment of "value" will always have to be made at some stage.... and the price of course would drive expectations as well as accountability. It was a visually impressive artistic presentation of a food product that was otherwise confused and had lost its way in terms of being flavoursome or gastronomically satisfying.... the... More

I can understand why this restaurant has scattered opinions across the board. It's to do with expectations. If you want to come away full, having not spent much money, then this is not the place to go. However, if you want a dinner that's interesting, that has food you can't help but talk about, and that you couldn't cook at... More

We visited Ortiga for a birthday celebration dinner for six adults. The main dining room is situated in the basement around an open kitchen which makes for a good atmosphere and point of interest as you watch the chefs and staff busy at work. Being in the basement however, it's not ideal for quiet conversation as the hustle and bustle... More

The food was unique & exquisite though a little expensive. Excellent service & the staff were well informed on their food & wine. Definitely worth it especially for a special occasion. More

Having enjoyed some wonderful meals in Spain on multiple trips, I can easily say this cannot compare with the service and professionalism of the real thing. It is several weeks since our experience but I am still smarting. I had been looking forwards for some time to trying Ortiga and had briefed them on Lynn's allergies of wheat and dairy.... More
