The waitresses were kind, helpful and would refill our glasses with water. 2 years ago, apparently you were served by waiters carrying large trays of food dressed in tails. Now obviously the recession has hit and you get a plate of sandwiches on crockery that looked like it was from the charity shop. My cousin and I had a most enjoyable meal the Tea Room (QVB). The dessert was terrific, a dessert based on caramalised figs with ice cream. An old world experience not to be missed. More

One of the best spots in Sydney for High Tea. An old-style tea room, with crisp tables, great waiters, and elegance galore. The afternoon tea is perfect, and it's all so gracious. Highly recommended. More
