I'm not sure if Malay Chinese restaurant in the heart of Sydney's CBD has anything other than laksa on the menu. If so I'd say more than 90% of the patrons (like me) wouldn't have a clue either given the unmistakable aroma emanating from the steaming bowls of rice noodle, tofu, towgay (bean sprouts for the uninitiated) topped with succulent... hands down the best laksa I have EVER EVER had. I opted for teh Chicken Laksa and I couldnt have been happier. Tip: Opt for the 30c bid to avoid the splash-ige. Pull up a pew, don't mind the lines that are snaking around you and tuck in. The best value, most enjoyable thing you can do in Sydney. This... More

We have been coming here for laksa for over 15 years. Extremely busy with the business crowd during the week. Despite trying many other Malay-Chinese restaurants we always come back here. Can't be beaten for taste and value. More

Went with my Malaysian parents. The laksa is excellent. Char kuay teo not so good, but the reason everyone goes is the laksa, which even my fussy parents enjoyed. More

Happened upon this place on the busy streets of Sydney. The Chicken Laksa was fantasic, packed with a lot of flavor and the perfect spice level. Also ordered the Chicken curry with rice, which was OK, nothing special. The food definitely has more of a homemade quality than your usual larger Indian/Chinese restaurants. Each dish tastes different. The staff was... More

Like a lot of restaurants in the city (central business district), it suffers because they think the visitor/tourist will "just satisfied" .. problem is most Aussies have travelled SE Asia and China ... so we know what good Asian food should taste like! More

To keep a long review short, the Malay Chinese takeaway currently makes the best bowl of laksa in Sydney! Just looking around, it is no secret - usually the tables will be full of people eating laksa and a queue of people lining up to get takeaway. The laksa is spicy, aromatic, fragrant and pretty much everything you could want... More
