An early concert at the Opera House followed by the perfect early dining experience at the Oyster Bar. Excellent service, perfect out door water side seating watching the ferries and numerous boats, plus the sun setting behind the Bridge. Excellent sea food and selected meats, oysters and prawns plump and full of flavour - we are coming back for more!

Myself and friends had an evening meal here in April and the food was the best I have had in a long time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I pre booked and asked for a table by the water and this was accommodated and had the best view every. The Oysters for very fresh and nice and cold..just... More

This is the second time we have had lunch here and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience both times. Tis time we were seated at the water's edge on a lovely sunny autumn day. Blue skies and sparkling water. Fresh oysters and delicious range of seafood is available. Service was good and a broad selection of wines are on the menu.... More

The best place in Circular Quay to watch the sunset over the Harbour Bridge. Stunning views, great oysters, and a nice selection of wines (both by the glass and bottles). I really enjoyed watching the ferries go by while sipping a nice glass of wine. A great way to end the day in Sydney. I only had the oysters so... More

I ate here one evening and just devoured the view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Circular Quay. It is a simply wonderful location! It's never going to be the cheap option but it was not ridiculous. I had oysters followed by spaghetti with clams and langoustines, all of which was delicious. A word about the service - I waited... More

Hey Preston, thanks for the feedback. Shucking oysters to order can occasionally be slow if swamped but we think they are well worth the wait and certainly better than any pre-shucked oyster. I am very pleased to hear the staff recognized the delay and dealt with it accordingly. Thanks again and I hope we see you again on your next... More

Having reviewed Oyster Bar in the past, I thought it is worth an up date. As a little background, I grew up in Sydney, but have now lived in Asia for over 10 years. Every time I go home I try and go to the Oyster Bar. It sits between Circular Quay and the Opera House with a view over... More

Loved the food and the service. We spent the afternoon eating, drinking and enjoying the ambience! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. What a great way to enjoy such beautiful Sydney weather and such a beautiful open air restaurant

Had a great breakfast. I had to leave the Bacon behind because all the other elements on my Big Breakfast was so good. Freshly made baked beans, the best poached eggs, onions and mushrooms were to die for. The omelette in its pan was amazing as well. Fresh juices were great as well. The view was second to none and... Every time we go to Sydney, we go to this restaurant. There are few experiences better than having oysters and sparkling wine while looking at the Sydney Harbour bridge in the early evening.

I like oysters and I do make it a point to try out the best oyster bars in the cities which I travel too. Till date the best oysters I had was in San Francisco ( you can look at my other review on that place). But the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar does run a very close second. The oysters... More

I am so glad you noticed how good our oysters are as we make a point of buying the best available and shucking them to order. That way you get that fresh from the sea flavor oysters should have. Great review, I appreciate the feedback and i hope we see you again before you leave town. More
