Always wanted to visit this restaurant.
Decor tired, service inconsistent and lacking warmth.
Food disappointing in particular a meat dish that was almost raw.

If you are a pretentious snob you might enjoy this place...not for me...Don't get me wrong, the staff were friendly, the atmosphere not too bad... The food... well I have had better tasting dishes from take away stores... and it was so disappointing when the mains came out to find the serving sizes were actually smaller than the entrée. Seriously...

Went there for a executive team dinner. The ambience was good and the service was very friendly and professional. The food was of high quality and outstandingly presented. The wine list is extensive butof the two wines tasted one had not been stored correctly and the other was too old which had led to some colour loss.
The only down...

Rockpool in the rocks is the gold standard for Australian restaurants. It started an empire of restaurants for peter Doyle 23 years ago that now include Rockpool Bar& Grill , Spice Temple, Qnatas inflight and on and on. The food here is world class. Start with the Chirashi zushi of tuna, kingfish, bonito, prawn and squid then head for the...

I've wanted to do Rockpool for many years so decided to go for it on this trip. We booked a couple of days ahead and were easily accommodated. On the night, the restaurant was full.

My wife had the John Dory which she pronounced perfect....

So far they have not put a foot wrong for me! I have tried a range of their dishes, a degustation or two, and each time - superb.
The sommelier's are knowledgeable and pick some quirky and divine matched wines, the food is just great. I am a foodie and have eaten at some of the best, and I have...

Expensive but well worth the experience. The meals were fantastic and the wine list was extensive. The kitchen staff were that quiet you wouldn't know they were cooking for a full house.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer. The atmosphere was nice. The presentation and texture of the food were great, but the flavors just were not there. Everything was bland. I consider myself a foodie, so I was really looking forward to eating here, but both my husband and I found the food devoid of taste. To add an...

The presentation of the courses was 'squisito'. An early delivery of canape and regular courses thereafter kept us alert and satisfied. The 'zushi' and the blue swimmer crab congee were small but appetising.
The second entree course - goats cheese lasagna & John Dory were deliocate and tasty.
The 'mains' the quail and lamb were barely biier than the entrees...
