try the really good long blacks and the danishes are delish! perfect for meetings (or late night meet-ups! ;-))
We called here on a very busy Saturday. The service was excellent and the coffee and pastries were excellent. Others were having lunch snacks and they too looked really good. Good quality and the service was excellent.
While we're going to the Rocks weekend market, we went to this cafe for a takeaway. We only had a pastry and also the croissant. It's quite OK. We also observe there is an al fresco area and you can also eat inside ( quite a bit of space there in fact ). Didn't have a proper meal hence this... More
Our first meal during our weeklng visit to Sydney was lunch at this French bakery in the heart of The Rocks. It's hard to imagine a more pleasant introduction to Sydney than a baguette sandwich and salad at a table on the footpath, watching the ibis on Argyle St in the mid-winter sun. Unlike other reviewers, we were happy with... More
We were desperate for good coffee and spotted this lovely cafe at The Rocks. We spotted the beautiful display of cakes and wanted one of everything, but settled for the lime tart and vanilla slice. The coffee was delicious and only surpassed by the creamy and delicious delicacies. Yum! Although very busy, the staff were friendly and efficient. Wow! Definitely... More
Have bought cakes on order and from behind the counter. Everyone whose tasted their treats have loved it, even a friend who works for an international hotel as a baker said the quality was up there with the best. Service is always a bit rushed, but that's because they're so popular, especially on weekends with so many tourists lining up.... More
We dropped in here while at The Rocks markets. Service was quick, had a choc mousse cake which was delicious. Coffee okay but it arrived quickly. Nice courtyard out back spoiled a bit by noisy exhaust fan.
Friendly, quick service, delicious petits fours (which must be healthy because of the fruit pieces), proper leaf tea. Well worth a visit. Saturday markets provide great atmosphere. Opportunity to improve: I get annoyed about having to go in search of sugar sachets: they weren't even available on the counter. I understand why they're not kept on the outside tables but... More
After reading all the fantastic reviews on here this was one of the places I wanted to eat while visiting Sydney. Well, what a disappointment. Maybe we were unlucky, but the coffee we ordered here was terrible. So terrible that I had two sips and left the rest. The food was ok, nothing to rave about. Didn't sit well in... More
My friend really wanted to go here after reading all of the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We were bitterly disappointed and bitter is what we got with our coffee. We also felt sick after our 'pastries'. I had an almond croissant whilst my friend had a ham and cheese croissant. We spent the following two hours at our hotel... More
