This restaurant is in a good location but the food is very average and expensive. The pizza is good but the pasta and meals leave a lot to be desired. Service is quick and the staff friendly but there are better places to eat More

On the hunt for the culinary treasures that Sydney is famous for we stumbled through the Rocks and saw the exceptionally well located and frequented Caminetto Restaurant. The front of house of the restaurant is presented in a tradtional Italian country house style, but looks could not be more deceiving. The Italian flair of the restaurant ended with the maitre... Arrived late after a long day and was looking forward to a simple Italian meal before the long journey home the next day. My initial impression was good with plenty of diners and good location, so selected this restaurant from others in the area. Unfortunatley the menu did not deliver. Like other reviwers here, I left thinking I had perhaps... More

The only good thing about this place is the location. We got three different dishes, all terrible. The pizza was worse than pizza hut, topped with spam and all. Two glasses of wine were actually half wine half water. I can't believe anyone would ever find it acceptable. Never coming back. More

We ate at Caminetto the other evening and had a good all round experience. Like all restaurants we've experienced in Sydney so far it was expensive, A$110 for two, and we only had a little ant-pasta followed by fish and chips and a bottle of local wine but that price and upwards appears to be the going rate in Sydney,... The guide book said it was a perfect Italian restaurant and very affordable. The reality was a little different. The service was good and the atmosphere not bad either. However, the food was a bit of a let down. The antipasto was lots of salad with a little meat and cheese. The smoked salmon salad was a lot of salad... More

Have been in Sydney on business for 5 weeks and have dined at this restaurant on many occasion. The food is devine and the service second to none. Very friendly accommodating staff. Has both indoor and outdoor areas as well as an outdoor smoking area. Have found the price to be very good considering the area. I would recommend if... More
