Our family have been eating at Encasa for a few years now and we can always rely on the food being fresh, plentiful (always important with two grown up sons!) and well cooked. This is not a restaurant for a romantic dinner for two as it is full of the noise of lots of people having a great time! The... More

I recently visited Encasa for a friend's birthday after not having eaten there for a couple of years. The food was just as good as I remember. We had a set menu as there was quite a few of us and there was LOADS of food. Tapas and some really tasty pizza! The sangria is always a hit there too... More

I was a lone diner and was treated very well by two staff and a bit awkwardly by another. food was quick and reasonably priced. the port pate was a bit bland and needed the honey to give it some taste. the squid was octopus and quite nice with aoli. I had a nice spanish red wine for $8. More

A tremendous tapas restaurant that's been at it for years. Noisy, bustling, with plenty of staff ready to jump to your needs - really! Helpful and friendly, which is not quite what I expected after reading some of the reviews. Great for parties and groups, and would be great pre-theatre. The portions are large, and all really delicious. We also... More

We popped in for a 6:30 reservation before an 8:00 show at the Capitol Theatre Tapas came quickly, and was tasty and good portions. The sangria was quite lovely. Pizza was a little bit of a let down, but everything was fine and we were done and dusted just in time for the showing. Service was super fast, although it... More

Dined here in February with family and friends. Five of us altogether. We dined early around 6:30 and the place was already packed. Im an ex Sydneysider and must admit I have never heard of this great little restaurant before. Its in Pitt Street Haymarket, the less fashionable part of town so this may help with their pricing. The service... More

I love this place as it was near where I worked and the food was always good - so much to choice from when dining as couple you have to dine there many times to be able to sample all the food on offer. More

Best paella ever, awesome flavour, not soggy or dry and loads of seafood, The sangria is an awesome accompaniment to your meals. As for the tapas, garlic prawns, chorizo and garlic mushrooms are also tasty dishes, but don't expect huge servings for tapas. Better to book ahead as it gets overly crowded. And when dining, it gets VERY loud, sometimes... More

As far as tapas goes, it's ok. Not bad, but not mind blowing. More

This was the first spanish cuisine I had ever had and it was definitely worth trying! I'd heard many good things about Encasa and walking past it each time, it was packed, so I decided to try with friends and it definitely didn't disappoint. The staff were amazing and very attentive, checking up on us every once in a while... More
