We stumbled upon this place when looking for some Chinese food and a respite from Sydney's high prices. It's located next to an "adult" book store, and the entry is through a warehouse-style sliding door. It's a hole-in-the-wall and provided us with one of the best and cheapest meals we've had in several visits to Sydney. We limited ourselves to... More

I had lunch at Sea Bay a few weeks ago with a friend after work. This little restaurant serves northern Chinese food. To be honest, its pretty spartan. You go there for the food, not the decor or atmosphere. The servings here are BIG so be careful you don't over-order. A serve of dumplings is a big plate and the... More

The three of us went to Sea Bay on a Tuesday night, around 5:30pm - so it wasn't very busy. It definitely started to get busier toward the end of our dinner. Sea Bay is a small restaurant, modern fixtures inside and nice wait staff. We got the famed handmade noodles which were delicious! The portion size was big and... More

This place does one thing right - the food. No, there is no real ambience, and it's noisy and the service is meh. However, get any of their dumplings or the fried hand-made noodles with chicken (and $2 of extra noodles if you're hungry), and you'll understand why this place is packed at lunch time and dinner. I go there... More

Busy place and I found out why - very inexpensive and good food. I ended up chatting with a young Canadian couple while waiting for a table and we ended up having dinner together. I only had the pork dumplings - $11 - and a huge serving - they were delicious. My friends had the noodles which I tasted and... More

I dine regularly with friends at Sea Bay because the food is delicious. Sometimes it gets so busy you have to wait a while to be seated but I don't mind. During the week if you get there around 6.30pm then generally it is fine. The service is pretty good and quick. It is BYO with a bottle shop next... More

Very nice but standard style of food. Friendly service from pleasant staff. Dumplings, noodle soup, lots of vegetable dishes. Under $10/dish. Absolutely no seafood whatsoever, excepting a kelp dish. Did not like the lamb skewers. More
