While in Sydney for the last 3 days of our Oz holiday, called in here for a beer or two on 3 occasions, the beer was good, friendly staff and good service considering how busy it always was.
As we were staying at The Grace, we decided to dine at PJ O'Briens, (plus it was too wet to go anywhere else), this turned out to be a great decision. Menu at lots of choices but we opted for the Pasta that was a special of the day. We sat upstairs in the dining area which was great as... More
I went there twice, once for a lunch meeting, steak was very average and tough, no one came over to check if our meals were okay. They don't serve coffee as my guest didn't drink. Good beer; awful food. Caesar salad tasted overwhelmingly like fish and the Irish stew was basically water with a little meat and a few vegetables in it, served with old, dry bread. Bland and flavourless.

Service very friendly and food very good quality for the price. We met up with some friends and spent just about every afternoon and night there over a five day period and really enjoyed the atmosphere this pub has to offer. Will be going back again when we visit in October of this year.
Great food at very reasonable prices and friendly service. Steak with a couple of BIG prawns only $24. Drinks a good price. Bottle shop limited but a good wine shop just up the road.
