Complete with German servers in Durndls and Lederhosen, and very wobbly benches (warn your fellow drinkers when you get up!) Good beer, lots to choose from Good menu. Nice way to spend a few hours in the Rocks, next to the weekend market. More

We went as a group to celebrate my brother's 40th birthday and had 3 tables upstairs. There were lots of birthday parties happening around us so the atmosphere was lively. We had a set menu, and I suppose the food was ok - there was so much going on around all the time that you really didn't get a chance... More

Reasonable restaurant "on the Rocks". Outdoor and indoor. German food of course but I found the quality to ordinary at best. Mostly German staff were good. Beer was good, outdoor tables were on too much of an angle due to the pavement to be practical but we were easily moved inside. German folk music was entertaining. Overall not bad but... More

Very disappointed! Overheard waitress get annoyed when we didn't say yes to all the add-ons like: side of salad, pretzels, etc. I ordered the veal sausages and was disappointed that for $27 I received 2 smal sausages! My partner ordered chicken schnitzel and for $30 you would think that it would have been chicken breast (I think not dear readers,... More

If you are a young adult (18-33) this is the best place to go for a laid back night of drinking and dancing to music across 40 decades. Had a wonderful time and would take my friends here if they were visiting. More

While walking through the Rocks my husband and I couldn't help but try this place. It was a beautiful evening in Sydney and we thought we would have a beer outside to enjoy the weather, but once we entered the establishment, we were hooked and had to say inside. The authenticity of the restaurant brought my husband back to his... More

Fantastic German beer house, just like Munich - long tables with a German band playing all night. Authentic German food/beer and most of the staff were German/spoke German. Meals were big, and great! A lot of German Beers - in 1L steins of course! We got to play games to win free schnapps... drink 1L beer the fastest, hammer nails... More
