Take it from someone who has tastebuds... This restaurant is a must if u are visiting Sydney! If you love honest, simple but delicious home style Spanish food.. Then do yourself a favour and go here! Four of us ate here, we had 6 different tapas, shares the paella for 2 (between 4 of us, it was massive), we had... More

Stooped y one evening for some Tapas. The quality was so-so rather than special and the prices high. The whole experience was over quickly and yet seemed to have extracted a high number of dollars. More

In Sydney for a long weekend holiday, booked a table for two on a Friday night at 8pm. Ordered papatas bravas, chorizo a la plancha, garlic prawns, garlic bread, a half litre of sangria and a salad. The patatas were beautifully crispy with a delectably spicy salsa; the chorizo were crispy without being over or under cooked, the prawns were... More

Our last night in Sydney, we decided to retry Capitan Torres for Tapas and ordered several dishes Chorizo alla plancha, Jamon de serrano, Gambas al ajillo, bread and a bottle Faustino rosado.Anyway all came promptly but the prawns were very mediocre, the chorizo not the best and I ask the waiter if the owners were still the spanish owners and... We stayed nearby at the start and end of our 3 weeks in Australia and ate here both times, in the tapas area near the kitchen, not the upstairs restaurant. The food was fresh, cooked to order and good. The manager is enthusiastic – but in recommending a wine (Rioja) or suggesting a special dish (snapper), was a bit quiet... More

We have been eating here for many years and have always loved the food, we used to really enjoy the grilled seafood, salad, tapas etc. We ordered the prawns in garlic with chilli and the sauce had no flavour at all, just like an oily carrier fro the prawns. A few other dishes were OK but only just. The salad... More

The food is barely edible - horrifically overpriced and a dark dingy restaurant that is probably a money laundering front. Go to burger king across the road for preference. More

My partner and I loved Capitan Torres. Walked in there on a busy Friday night, didnt think we'd get a seat, but the place is decievingly big, it was quite full yet they had some room for us. The food was amazing, the staff were so warm, friendly and helpful and there was some nice drinks going down as well!... More
