We went to Burnt Orange on a weekend for my mother in-laws 90th birthday with the family. It is a lovely building and we were allocated a table on the back verandah. It was packed and very noisy. it took a while for our orders to be taken and for the childrens meals to come first as was requested. I... More

Stopped in here with a friend to celebrate her new job. We had noticed the sign driving past and decided to try it. The lovely wide verandahs of the heritage building faced glorious harbour views. We ordered champagne cocktails to start. The kitchen was supposed to be closing but they held it open for us to order a late lunch.... More

Probably expected too much - it's a lovely part of Sydney with nearby views of Balmoral Beach and Sydney Harbour as you drive there on approach. We went for breakfast and the menu was similar to any other breakfast cafe and the settings are just ordinary. The expected views seem to disappear though as the trees tend to obscure any... More

Staff are very friendly and helpful, but the view, although excellent overlooking Sydney Harbour Heads and Vaucluse, is definitely daytime only, so book in for lunch early, as parking becomes very tight by midday until 2.30PM. Also, parking is prohibitively expensive close by, so be prepared to drop your guests off and park further along the headland (still costly). Better... More

These guys need you put in a reservation, but the food is worth it if you can plan ahead enough. As good as anything on the menu is the old tea and scones if you do try to just walk past and see if there is a table available.Pricey but pleasant, and there are some nice shops in the basement... We went to Burnt Orange today for a family lunch. We ordered our two little girls fish and chips for lunch. The meals arrived and we cut up the fish for our kids. The fish was very cold in the middle and of course, raw. We advised the waiter and I asked if it was frozen fish. Answer "yes"! The... More

Terrific food, delightful experience. Good service, attentive, concerned. Excellent value for money. Only sour note - the stinky toilets could use a good hot soapy scrubbing!

The views of the harbour and the passing ferries and ships is lovely and the food is modern Australian and great choice which kept our party of 6 of various ages happy. Shops in the building are interesting and not too expensive. Only criticism is waiters who think they're better than their restaurant patrons Lose the attitude fellas and you'd... More
