Heard the dumplings were really good but after trying they were just average. The skins of the dumplings were really really thin but the fillings were just bland. We had gotten there early(before 6pm) and already they were out of the crab dumplings. So dissappointed!

This is part of a chain originally from Taiwan and has found a home (well 3 actually) in Sydney. Go to dish is the xiaolongbao which is a dumpling that has a little hot soup inside it. Be very careful the way you eat this as the soup bursts in your mouth (and hopefully not on your clothes). Beware they... More

This place had such glorious reviews on tripadvisor that perhaps my expectations were inflated. Just a disclaimer.. I'm a Chinese from Singapore, so fantastic yum cha and Chinese food are EVERYWHERE. Din tai fung was just average at best for me. The xiao long bao was not as delicious as expected either... But it was ok. However for visitors from... More

I heard a lot about this place from my Taiwanese friends (Din Tai Fung is a Taiwanese establishment). From their comments I wasn't sure if it was worthwhile a visit but the other day I went there for lunch with colleagues from interstate. Positives (sort of..) - the food, as some reviewers mentioned, their dumplings are of good quality, fresh... More

Din Tai Fung offers the best 'xiao long bao' - pork dumplings with broth - in town! Menu can be quite basic but still some fine selection of dishes. Good place for first timer to try out Chinese food. Was reading a previous review.. I would like to correct that it is not a traditional yumcha place. Service is tops..all... More

Din Tai Fun at World Square Sydney (Level 1, Shop 11.04, 644 George St). “World’s tastiest dumpling” is the signature tagline and a pretty big call. Friends and colleagues all talk about it – so I wanted to check it out for myself. I went to meet a good friend of mine for lunch. It was 12.30pm and it was... More

Even if dumplings and noodles aren't usually on your list of savory foods, you'll enjoy the Chinese upscale casual dining or takeaway food at Din Tai Fung. The menu illustrates the varied offerings; choose whatever you like in addition to the dumplings. It is worth finding one of the three Din Tai Fung restaurants in Sydney. As a tour escort... More

Having first come across Din Tai Fung in Hong Kong, where it has a Michelin Star, we were keen to try the local outlet. Once again the food was good and service quick in this popular restaurant close to a number of Sydney Theatres, indeed our meal was pre-theatre. Recommended

It was very busy and had to wait a while but it was at lunch time. Very crowded in the food court and hard to find a seat. The food was tasty and inexpensive.

Went here with friends for a quick dinner recently. Great Dumplings and good food to share. Highly recommend this as a fast dinner before movies or just a quick meal after work. The don't take bookings, so you may have to queue.
