Great at atmosphere to enjoy the view of the Harbour Bridge and the boats on the harbour. The live music was a bonus.

I would say having a drink/appetizer at the Opera Bar, which is literally at the foot of the Opera House, is a must-do/see because of its location and view. The view can't be beat! Good location, view and ambiance. I wouldn't recommend it for a dinner bit it's great to have a beer and share a pizza or entree while watching the sunset.
