As long time of fans of Arras in its previous Walsh Bay location, it took us a while to get into the city to try to their new home but we weren't disappointed when we went to a Valentine's Day degustation evening. Nine small courses of sensationally conceived and presented food, all with subtle flavours and some quirky combinations. The... More

As other reviewers have said, Arras has now opened up in a new location from late 2011. The tables are comfortable and well spaced and the fit out is interesting, which we think is good. But the service and the meals are what sets it apart. Everyone that looked after us was friendly, enthusiastic about what they were doing and... More

Went to the new location at 204 Clarence st for our anniversary. Food was served with delicate designs and fine china but did not measure up to value for money. 4-course set menu is priced too high especially with 8% service charge included in the bill. But appreciate the personalization of petit fours wishing us 'happy anniversary'. Update menu with... More

This is quite simply the best foody experience I have had anywhere in the world. Just unbelievably amazing food and service - I can't believe it was quiet on the (tuesday) night we went. I believe it is moving to a more central location soon - it deserves to be packed the whole time. The food is absolutely first rate... More

I agree with the previous review, not sure why this is only one hat, the food not only tastes fantastic but is really inventive and every dish is a suprise. Don't go if you're in a rush, just settle in for an evening magical mystery tour...

This is an interesting restaurant that should be more popular. The one hat is supported by the truly excellent and interesting food, based on Michael Bras famous restaurant in Aubrac in southern France. I am unsure why this restaurant is not always full. On our Friday night visit it was at 90%. Maybe the decor is just too dark (my... More

A variation on typical English cuisine with some hits and misses, some flavors just don't go together well, the black pudding and lamb just missed the mark. Service very good, few patrons there the night we went. A truly beautiful and classy interior design.

Some of the best service in Sydney. Endless offers of bread and petit fours. The garlic and honey roll was very moorish. The menu was very interesting - a modern take on English fare, however it didn't quite hit the spot for me.
