“Best food and coffee on the Hume! Give service centres the flick!”

We travel the Hume Highway frequently and have been guilty in the past of utilising fast food centres in those "mega" service centres. We have tried a number of coffee shops and cafes off the Highway in towns like Gunning and Jugiong but finally hit the jackpot last weel when we stopped at Barney's of Bookham. Stopped here on our way to Melbourne. Great place, delicious food & generous portions, lovely, friendly staff. Would definitely have a break there again.

“Perfect place to stop off on a trip for good coffee and excellent food”

I discovered this place after Wagga races on my way back to Sydney. It's right on the highway - makes it convenient to stop off at - and it sells really good food. It's that place you wish you could find when the only option seems to be McDonalds.
