This place is great to hang out in for a while; cosy, dark, soothing music. It does need a thorough cleanout - don't like the flies that seem to always buzz by. Always a good weekend hangout. Love the vibe. Only drawbacks is that it needs a thorough clean and should open later on Sunday evenings. Super yummy bread & bud pud.

other than the burgandy surrounds, a great institution - great coffee but a bit average when it's takeaway - don't get it from the window. staff a generally v. good ....avoid the inside in summer time b/c of the flies inside. watch the pumpkin - sometimes it's very old (5+ days).

Tilleys is a piece of the landscape.Sad there are no concerts any more! The ambience is good, the coffee excellent and the menu generally good.
