This restaurant serves excellent food in a sophisticated setting. The service is very attentative but not intrusive. You really notice the chef is passionate about what he does and the food is magnificent. I always go to Aubergine when I am in Canberra and the quality has never been anything but excellent. The menu varies depending on the season. However,... More

We’re sorry to hear that you are disappointed with some aspects of our service and we’d like to take this opportunity to explain a few of the decisions we’ve made in relation to our menu options. We are quite a small restaurant (just 55 seats), and this is the primary reason we have a 3 course menu on Friday and... More

My boyfriend and I had dinner here not long ago & found the food very good! The restaurant itself is a little souless, but the service was up to scratch & wine list was extensive.

Visited Aubergine to celebrate a special occasion and was not disappointed. The food was amazing (we had a tasting menu), the service great and the atmosphere warm and comforting. Two big thumbs up!

Not a cheap eat, but one of the best meals we've ever had. Friendly, but not overwhelming, staff. Great food and wine.

We arrived early & despite our table being clearly ready we're told to go across the road to the bar & have drink and return at our booked time!!! That aside food & wine were nice though pricey!

Went to Aubergine before going to Renaissance exhibition at NGA. Began with long, engaging discussion with sommelier, a provider of excellent advice. The entrees were excellent - one a mousse of eel with various smoked tastes. Treally lovely. The other zucchini flower stuffed with chevre with pea purre. Akin to " essence of green". Matched main to the wine - local... More
