It was the most disappointing meal of our 8 day trip - the chicken was undercooked, the rice was dry, the vegetables had no seasoning and the salad was nada (no seasoning, no dressing, no herbs, nothing special). The view and the bread was the best part of the meal.

There are not many choices to stop for lunch along Highway 1 between Monterey and San Simeon so we pulled in here. They had tables outdoors overlooking the ocean and coastline but we chose to eat indoors as it was rather chilly out. The view from the deck is incredible and if the weather had been nicer, we would have... More

was a special experience to eat here. very down to earth and has a hippy flair, which brings you back to the feel of the loving 60's. The food was exceptional. Love the lodges here. Incredible and special experience

after a long drive, it's such a wonderful break!...great views from the patio and delicious food!..the server (who was darling) recommended that we look out to the ocean since they spotted whales just the day before, after about 10 minutes whales did indeed appear (great added bonus at lunch)...could sit and relax all day

Our fish and steak were so good. The views of the ocean were so beautiful and we saw 5 whales while dining. Our waitress was so nice and genuine.

It's not fantastic, service is so so and the dining room is tight. But, it's overlooking the beautiful coast and is worth a stop.

The restaurants along Highway 1 fall into two categories: the well-known fine-dining establishments in Big Sur proper that charge outlandish prices to justify their ocean views...and the roadside cafes that serve up some very average fare to the tourists. Lucia Lodge Restaurant somehow manages to offer up very good food, reasonable prices, and a view to die for. They're famous... More

What a jewel! Stopped for lunch and enjoyed great service and better food. The fish and chips are enough to split between two normal appetites and are as good as I remember from England. Sandwiches are delicious and the fries that come with them are great. A tad costly but restaurants are not plentiful along some parts of the PCH... More

Lucia lodge is a hotel with very basic amenities. But that is the only hotel in that area with best ocean view to every room . Its located on a hill top, that make the ocean view even more scenic .

We ordered fish and chips as they were rated in the top 10 along the coast. Indeed, they were not only very tasty but the serving was rather large. If you aren't a huge eater then two of you could probably share this meal. We felt the price was a bit on the high side. This was a very fine... More
