Food and service were great when the owner was there. Go early. First time we went was around 4 pm. Excellent. Next couple of times were later and they were out of everything but cheese (owner not there). The food is delicious, but get there early before they run out of meat. Excellent value!

We stopped here after a few hours walking around the Colonia. The chef was friendly and efficient and took the time to explain things to us in our s l o w Spanish. We really enjoyed it. Our first exposure to the restaurant was when we first arrived in Puerto Morelos and were standing across the street clearly disoriented (ok-lost) The girl from the restaurant came over to help us. We have eaten here while visiting Puerto Morelos many times. The food is delicious, authentic, and SO reasonably priced. The owner is a lovely woman originally from Mexico City who takes pride in her restaurant. Her English is extremely good and is eager to explain all the food and beverages in her shop. If like me you stay away from the usual tourist traps and look for simple, local places, then you won't get much better than Quesadillas de la Colonia. Very cheap, great tasting quesadillas and tempting salsas to go with them. My favourite was "papa con chorizo". Enjoy!

My friend got some quesadillas from here and brought them for us for lunch to our Mayan Palace Resort Amazing! We back dinner next day and being regulars for the rest of vacations. I was stucked to the veggies options but my friends said the cochinita one melted in their mouth! So good, so cheap, great option!

When visiting puerto morelos you have to eat at Quesadillas de la Colonia! by far the best for food and price! Nice location very easy to find. Great Food,Great service! will always eat here when i get the chance! EASY 5 STARS!!
