Good food though not particularly inventive but excellent service from Lorenzo and a pleasant meal if staying in the village. Lots of wine by the glass and if choosing meat be prepared for a very large plate of food.

Recommended by our guide, Ristorante Il Pozzo should not be missed. Monterioggioni is such a great stop, a wonderful walled city with character and charm. The restaurant has great ambiance, service and food. Don't miss the wild boar and pasta.

The restaurant was nearly empty, it's not really tourist season, but we were treated very well. The waiter recommended some amazing dishes and we had a great time.

Amazing food, service and wine! Situated in this fortress on a hill, if you're staying nearby it's definitely recommended.
