This is easily the best dining experience on the island. The relaxed atmosphere, pleasant nature of the staff and quality of food on offer made for a lovely first night on the island.

Rumah Tinggi lived up to my expectations for a great meal and the bonus was the great location. Prices are higher than I would have expected, but most things on Christmas Island are more expensive than the mainland and this was not out of line with other venues.

Booking required to get a table (best to call before noon or day before). excellent food. tables face scenic view over ocean in an open area thats undercover. Watch for the turnoff from the main road.
