On first glimpse, everything looked perfect - the Japanese Gardens are wonderful and combined with an art gallery, the combination seemed ideal for a sunny autumn Sunday lunch.

One of our favourite brasseries - the food is always of a very high standard with a great daily specials board. We always visit the Art Gallery and the gorgeous gift shop, plus take a walk around the magnificent Japanese Gardens. A wonderful place to take visitors.

I have eaten here several times - breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas. Very generous sized meals and extremely big portions of cake. The coffee is very good. The food is lovely. Eat inside or outside overlooking the beuatiful Japanese gardens (which are accessible to walk around). Great location with the Art Gallery under the same roof + a nice gift...

The food in this restaurant is excellent and the service genuinely welcoming. Eating on the terrace is informal, so babies in buggies are easily accommodated (we had one). By itself, this would make the Brasserie perfect for families. But there's more.
