Blackie O'Connell was playing the pipes. This was top notch traditional music. Great atmosphere, good beer of course.
We always going to McGann's Pub - best food, music, staff - it is a must on your list! We have been to Doolin four times now - and everytime we cannot wait to return to McGann's. Lunch, dinner - any time of day!
A glorious place to settle in and listen to traditional Irish music. Doolin has grown a bit more tourist-y than it was years ago, but it's still a great place to visit and feel the magic.And McGann's is part of that magic. Friendly enough staff, good food, and fine music - what else is there?
Good food, music and a wonderful atmosphere. Locals come from the local counties to place the best music, the best traditional Irish music that is! There is a strong American culture or impression created in this venue which I like. I would not change a thing with this pub for a great night out.
Right place at the right time, saw the lead singer of The Fury sit in with the local band and he gave everyone a rare treat. Once word got out, the placed was packed. I called it a night at 2:00am, but had a great time. This pub is the real deal and known far and wide.
