Description: Our Pancake Cottage is beautifully located up in the mountains on the Moll's Gap to Sneem road, between the Ballaghbeama Gap and the Gap of Dunloe. When travelling from Killarney town, take the road through the Killarney National park and at Moll's Gap you take the road to Sneem (R568). We have a good selection of sweet and savory pancakes, homemade soup, apple-pie and scones. A little playground and a lovely gift/craft-shop.

I happened upon the Strawberry Field Pancake Cottage recently, not having been there for many years, and was delighted to see that it has survived the turmoil of the past years and is still trading. It was a bitterly cold, wet late December day and we ran from the car to the front door to enter an almost completely dark... More

We found this restaurant by accident, having driven the Gap of Dunloe. We had such amazing pancakes. My favourite was the simple lemon and sugar - hard to beat. Reminded me of my childhood! My kids of course sampled the chocolate and marshmallow ones! It was one of those unexpected surprises that will be a great memory for the future.... More

This is the first place we go when we arrive in Kenmare if we didn't I don't think the children would speak to us. We all know which pancake we will have from the simple lemon and sugar to the smoked salmon with sour cream and finely chopped leeks and not to forget the completely decadent chocolate with choc chips... Wow! Just called here for coffee but after seeing the menu, had to order a pancake! It was amazing, incredible selection, really well cooked, delicious. Great selection of gifts and crafts on offer. Lovely tables sitting on strawberries outside. Great place to stop on the ring of Kerry and open in November!

My family and i went to strawberryfield today. It was a very cold day and when we arrived the stove was lighting, and we were greeted with a lovely friendly smile. All four of us had pancakes with various fillings. They were absoutely amazing, the staff were friendly the place was spotlessly clean. Definitely worth a visit.

This eating place is actually about half and hour south west of Killarney on the Ring of Kerry. The menu is mainly pancakes and pizza but excellent value and well cooked and presented and an ideal stopping place for lunch or a snack. Highly recommended
