I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday, as it had been recommended to me by a friend, and we were not disappointed. The food is delicious, inventive and a treat for the taste buds, the location is tranquil and in the heart of the countryside, and Richard and Solanche are an engaging and hospitable couple. The atmosphere is... More

Went here to celebrate and have some enlightening food. Chef's Dozen is fantastic. Every dish has something unexpected but wonderful about it. I would definitely go back.

I read about this restaurant over a year ago, and finally got the opportunity to eat there...I had high expectations...and im pleased to say every one of them was exceeded! 12 dishes 9 savoury, 3 sweet, each and every one had a little surprise to it, between us we ordered all 12... No mean feat considering we had one veggie,... More

Up until now we have had to travel to Birmingham for a good meal - 16 miles and a £42 pound return taxi fare (if we want to have alcohol with our meal). No more - as this restaurant is much closer (still a taxi fare for us, as it is a little out of the way; however much less... More

I have wanted to go to the Chefs Dozen for ages now, it had been recommended by a friend and after seeing their website and reviews I got very excited. We finally got the opportunity to go and I was hoping that it would live up to the high expectations that I had set for it. All I can say... More

We have been to Chef's Dozen several times in the last year and have always had a great experience. Richard is a talented creative chef, the wines are well selected and the service is warm and efficient. Also great value for money.

Let me start by saying I am a real foodie, and also rather fussy. This place is heaven for me, and whilst the menu is only a dozen items, every single dish I have eaten has been delightful. Small, Intimate, charming service, small but well chosen and well priced wine list, and the food is just sensational. If you read... More
