Description: Chef/Owner Peter Merriman has transplanted his version of Hawaii Regional Cuisine to this beautiful ocean-side location in the Kapalua resort. He uses only the freshest products of which 90% or more are locally produced or caught, using only sustainable methods. Peter has always been a front runner in the "Farm to Table" concept. All food is prepared in a way that highlights the natural flavors of the food. We have a very friendly staff to ensure that you have an incredible dining experience. Their food knowledge is among the best in the industry. All this is in the most beautiful location within the resort, right on the water where the most incredible sunsets are watched nightly at our oceanfront winebar.

Our first time to Hawaii & specifically Maui. Picked this place because of its proximity, and the ratings on Trip Advisor. Glad we did. The setting was perfect - ate outside, great views, beautiful sunset, etc. the service was super; very attentive, did a great job explaining menu choices, etc. they also did a nice job accommodating our young grandson.... I travel all the time and have the opportunity to eat at a lot of top restaurants. This was one of of the best meals that I have had in a long. I was in a party of 5. Everybody raved about the meal. In addition, I had inadvertently reserved for the wrong week and they were extremely accommodating. It... More

We heard about this place from folks we met poolside. It is speedy (our bill was $200+ for two people) and worth every penny! The service was exceptional, as was the spectacular view and the great service from David. I will definitely save my pennies for my next Hawaiian visit and eat at Merriman's. PS, if you want the view... More

We've been to Merriman's before - usually once every time we're on Maui, which is 1-3 times per year. It's always fantastic - the whole experience. The location is perfect - almost without compare anywhere in the world, with a view of the Kapalua coast and the island of Molokai. Sunsets are particularly phenomenal, so I recommend getting a seating... More

Can it really get any better than Merriman's? As long as they don't take that attitude they will remain the unquestioned number 1. Of course this is strictly an opinion but this restaurant has 3 stars before the turn on the range. It is in Maui situated on a breath taking piece of real estate where even cloudy sunsets create... We treated ourselves to an anniversary dinner, and were thrilled with the location and the food. Loved the passionfruit vodka, took advantage of the appetizer special of shrimp and pork belly, and said "yes" to an order of foie de gras with my wok-charred ahi tuna. The combination of textures was luscious. Sunset was marvelous, and service was attentive. Go!

Wow, catch this place at sunset and it is breathtaking. The open air restaurant is ideal. The food was unique and tasty and I loved that you could customize and make duos of the plates if you wanted. Also Liked that most dishes had a larger or small portion option. The drinks were good and the sommelier recommended a great... More

On 5/10/13, my wife and I were treated to a sumptous feast for our taste buds and eyes. We started with the bean soup of the day and theahi duo. Both superb! The ahi was butter tender and could not have been more fresh other than swimming at sea. Even the kale and butter lettuce salad was delicious. While eating... More

My family and I put off visiting merriman's based on sub par reviews. Last night, we went anyway. What a disservice we did to ourselves for not visiting sooner. As a diner with dietary restrictions, I expected attitude from our server. Instead, he ( Davey) almost became inspired and his care was tangible. All the ingredients were delicious and so... More
