We had a nice family diner outside, the table were set in front of the resto kindly in the middle of the street. It was very good.
Nice place, good food, creative presentation. The menu is small, but what we tried was very good. they have a nice big terrace which is actually a square dominated by a church, really very pretty and just a short walk from the port. We reserved, but they have enough tables to accept walk-ins.
Excellent place to eat, good food, friendly service and good location apart from the odd passing motor bike- but that's France.
We had a dinner in this little restaurant. We chose the dinner menu of the day: creme brulee with foie gras, duck breast with balsamic sauce, scallops with celery puree and apricot tarte - all was excellent. If you are in this town, don't miss this restaurant. We can recommend it as very good gastronomy experience.
Best value - only 24 euros for 3 course - can it get even better? apparently it does --- house wine is 2.50 euros per glass and it was delicious. my jaw dropped when i saw the bill - so cheap! both red and white wine were great. best dish was scallops. Duck was tasty but veiny on mine. they... More
My family of five stopped in this restaurant after a very grueling day. We were met with pleasant service and wonderful food. The presentation was impeccable and each of us loved our entrée. This was the best meal we had while traveling through France. AMAZING!!! Ps. Get the duck
The service was impeccable, the setting was underwhelming (with the port and sea not visible in q port town) and the food was mixed. Some choices were very good and some were only average. The four of us agreed to try other places along the waterfront instead of returning during our week in La Ciotat.
Without doubt the best meal to be had with real cooking of note. Of particular note were the sauces that added to the dish reather than just being decoration.
Quality ingredients, very well presented food and good value, friendly host, bright decor. I would recommend this restaurant.
I had black pudding spring rolls, sounds different but were excellent and plentiful for a starter. My friends had the scallops for their mains and I had the cod, couldn't fault it, was superb. The owner was our waiter who spoke perfect English and was just lovely. All in all a great meal.
