This restaurant, which is clearly very popular and well established is nevertheless small and friendly. The owner and maître de is very welcoming and the food was excellent and very well priced. Probably need to book especially in high season. Lots of excellent and original choices.
We found Apollinaire about 3 days into Spoleto. Recommended by our Landlord. Entire menu was very, very good. However the uniqueness and excellent staff put you in a good mood from the moment you walk in the entrance. Salads are the best we tasted anywhere in 16 days in Italy. Take 2-3 hours and really enjoy the experience.
Our dining experience was a highlight of trip to Italy. The decor of the venue was lovely, the service beyond reproach, the dining just magnificent. We also tasted a magnificent local...

It was Monday evening-everything was closed, and it looked like my hopes for a last Romantic Italian feast would be at the E35 Auto route cafe. Instead we found this beautiful Romantic restaurant hidden on a tiny via in Spoleto. The menu was perfect....

When I entered the restaurant I was warmly greeted and seated. While reading the menu I saw that along with the traditional meals there were also some creative choices. That's the way I went. After all, I've been coming to Italy for 35 years so I've gone the traditional route. And I am not sorry for my choice. Part of...

I have been in Apollinare with my family following the reviews on Tripadvisor.
It was Saturday and I had issues in booking it but at the end we did manage to fix and get there.
The restaurant is in the city center. Due to the fact that is not particularily large, booking it in advance is a must.
The atmosphere...
