We arrived in positano not knowing where our hotel was so as we wondered down the hill, we decided to stop here for linch, and also ask for directions. We had a really delicious lunch of grilled calamari, bruschetta and salad. We love our calamari and this was delicious. After lunch the owner called our hotel and we were given... More

Every year I go to Positano and I always go and have a nice lovely dinner in this restaurant which is run by a lovely family. They have an outside area which is perfect in summer, sitting outside eating a lovely Italian dish with a nice glass of wine and watching the view over the sea. If you are in... More

We had dinner twice al fornillo as it was close to our hotel. The food was good although not exceptional. The location is on the road like many restaurants in Positano. Service was fine. This restaurant was good but nothibg stood out.

We walked over from the other side of Positano only to find the restaurant closed, but returned after six in the evening and it was well worth it. We sat outside and were served promptly. I ordered the four cheese ravioli. It was easily the best I've tasted, perfect! The dish was well presented and was obviously prepared with high... More

First night Sicilian pasta dish with melted mozzarella, eggplant in a perfect marinara with fresh tomatoes, caprice salad to die for (huge slabs of the best buffalo mozzarella I ever tasted with vine ripened juicy wedges of tomato) and wine. Second night oven fired thin, delicate crust pizza with artichokes black olives mushrooms with the perfect amount of cheese, mixed... More

Go there because it's a cosy and romantic place in the corner of the street where you can see a breath-taking sight! We suggest you to try the 'cozze soup'- we were ensure by the owners that it's a really old familiar recipe. Also their 'Ravioli stuffed with zucca and seafood' were extremely tasty and original. The list of wine... More

We went here on our second night. Being in the centre of Positano we had to walk 20 minutes back out of town to walk there on the main road but the walk is beautiful and amazing on the way back . The good was good. I had the white bait for starter which was good and the sea food... More

Recommended by our hotel reception. The dessert Ricotta Cheese Pere is awesome! Pizza was good as recommended by other reviewers. Personally, i like the seafood risotto more. It's tasteful and just nice.

Il fornillo is an absolute must when in Positano! The staff are beautiful and the food, value and atmosphere all fantastic. I had the mixed seafood pasta then came back for it again a second time! I would eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I could! Highly recommend it.
