If we could give it 100 stars, we would. Just got back to our hotel in Positano from this incredible dining experience. No matter how great the views you have seen from the Amalfi coast, this rivals any you have seen. This family owned restaurant treats you like family. It is a relaxed atmosphere where they slowly bring you the... More

La Tagliata was recommended to my husband and I by a couple we met during our trip in Positano, and it definitely lived up to my expectations! La Tagliata is a family run restaurant (you need to make a reservation) and a shuttle is arranged to take you to the restaurant. The restaurant is at the very top of the... More

Myself and three friends visited this restaurant last weekend. We would not of come across it only that our tour organiser Luisa (Sorrento Silver Tours recommended it) and we were so glad she did. When we arrived two or three of the tables were beautifully decorated as three local children were celebrating their First Holy Communion with their families. We... More

My husband and I visited La Tagliata during our Honeymoon to Italy. First, I will say that the ambiance of this restaurant is wonderful, as is the service. The food, however, left me disappointed. The appetizers were wonderful and the pasta dish was also pretty good. Both my husband and I felt like the meat dish was a little sub-par.... More

I fell in love with La Tagliata and can't wait to go back! The evening started with a shuttle service that picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off right at the restaurant. Once we arrived we were greeted with such enthusiasm, it felt like we were old friends. There is no menu here, you eat what mama's... More

Excellent lunch with great views. No menu, just large multi course tasting menu. Food was outstanding - particularly the pasta.

You do not need to read many TA reviews to conclude this is an experience you will never forget. I had not thought to go because of it's location in Montepertuso until a random traveler we met on the boat to Amalfi (!) told us they have a free pick up van. When I asked my hotel to make a... More

Amazing! I cant say enough. The food is outstanding, but the whole experience is also part of the magic of this meal. We drove for almost an hour from Sorrento to go to Tagliata... it was every bit worth the drive. The family greets you at the entrance and seats you on your table overlooking the amazing sea views. There... More

Come at dusk to get fantastic views of sunset over the coast. Don't worry about the menu because there isn't one- they adapt to what they have in their garden at the time! Tell them if you have any special requirements and whether you prefer red or white wine then they take care of all the rest...and boy there is... More
