Excellent salad and main course of sauteed spinach with grilled pecorino cheese....house wine. Service was excellent. They want to make the experience memorable and have a desire to create a name for fine dining.

The server was arrogant and subtly insulting. The food was OK, but more expensive than we were led to believe. Actually, the prices were outrageous for what we got.
When we travel, we always ask locals where they eat. La Briciola was recommended. The family-owned and operated restaurant is a gem. Great food, wine and atmosphere at reasonable prices. Owner and his son served us and helped navigate the Italian-only menu. We recommend La Briciola to anyone traveling to Montepulciano.
We love Italy and especially Tuscany and we go there pretty often for holidays. Basically almost everywhere we go in this region we get a friendly smile or at least polite behaviour and acceptable service. This line of smiles ended in April with my visit in La Briciola. Based on some positive reviews I thought we would give it a...

La Briciola is in a great location near the northern gate to Montepulciano. The large, brightly lit (maybe a little too bright in the evening) dining room is tastefully decorated. The service was great and my accident with a glass of wine (luckily didn't waste too much Vino Nobile but smashed the glass) was dealt with rapidly and without fuss....

We came by the "La Briciola" by chance wandering through Montepulciano. The place was crowded by locals. Food was good : we had gnocchi, cannelloni, rabbit & chicken and spinach with pecorino. Service was great and warm-hearted. If you want to try typical Tuscan food it is a good place to visit.
Food was top-notch. Service was lovely, and the vibe in the restaurant was really fun. The owner and his son make sure you are getting everything that you want to have a great time.
My husband and I stopped here for lunch. The food was amazing (best pasta in Italy!), however, the server was very grumpy. I did my best with my few Italian phrases, then asked if he had an English menu. He was very rude, saying that this was Italy, and the menu was in Italian, and he wasn't paitient as he...

We ended up eating here twice. While the food is not outstanding (though I had *excellent* rabbit/chicken in rosemary the second visit), it is quite good and ..... reliable. That is how we ended up going a second time. There are MANY options in Montepulciano and it can feel overwhelming to choose. We stayed a week and ate in several...

We were in Montepulciano for 10 days in September. We went twice to this restaurant, and were happy twice. Simple restaurant with excellent food, relaxing atmosphere, good wine and impressive / very sympathetic father and son service. Try the Straccetti Sfiziosi di Tartufo e Porcini with Vino Nobile.
