Fantastic beer, fantastic food, extremely friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed our meals so much we went back the next evening. This pub has a great restaurant but also nice comfy sofas to enjoy a drink after a long hike. Great views across the dale too.

We stayed at cottages within walking distance so this was our local, what a wonderful super friendly landlady and the atmosphere in the pub, roaring log fire and superb food made for a fantastic long weekend away.

Excellent local made game pate. Good locally shot pheasant. If you stay at the hotel, you have no need to consider eating elsewhere. No dislikes.
