This is by far the best restaurant in the Island, food is fantastic, staff very good and helpful and we just love going for lunches and evening meals. Great atmosphere and is very quaint place to relax and enjoy yourselves! Great choice of meals and are very accommodating if you want to change a meal.

L'Experience doesn't look much from outside but inside its a little piece of France. Service & food were of excellent quality. The French onion soup was a meal in itself !The best meal we had on the island. We will be back.

This place is a Douglas institution, I have eaten here several times, and haven't been disappointed. On this occasion, we called late on a Saturday afternoon, and they found us a table for early evening despite being very busy. It was though, a time limited tenure ... we were told when booking we would have to be gone by eight.... More

We stumbled across this restaurant as we happened to be staying in a hotel just five minutes down the road, and I'm so so glad we came here! It was the highlight of out entire trip to the isle of man. The food was amazing, I had the French onion soup and the steak, the soup was honestly the best... More

On a short 2 night trip my wife and i had the pleasure to eat here on our last night . We really did save the best to last . Actually first impressions would put you off , from outside it looks quite shabby and run down . Please dont let this put you off or you will miss out... More

On arrival, I was welcomed and shown to my table, the service was friendly and the staff were happy to explain anything on the menu. The restaurant has quite a quirky style of decor (but in a nice way) and is probably the closest you can get to being in France without leaving the Isle of Man, even the signs... More

Very coeliac friendly. Coeliac waitress very helpful and the mushrooms garlic special was fab. Steak in peppercorn sauce was delicious! Went out of their way to make sure my meal was gf with gf garlic bread!! Lovely My only complaint -bit noisy-. All in all a lovely restaurant and fab food A**

I find its always a good sign when a French restaurant sticks to the classics and offers Ricard in its aperitifs. Wine was reasonable money for good quality. Onion soup and petit cassoulet were our tables favourites starters followed by the steak, moulles and scallop thermidor( a new on us but we'll done). Lido (?) the softly spoken French waiter/maitre'd... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal on a windswept, wet night. Very welcoming and idiosyncraticly decorated. The food had a slightly retro feel but no worse for that. The quality was excellent, the cooking precise. The house wine was very well chosen. I can honestly recommend this restaurant.
