The Pheasant was the location for the local area Polling Station, so, after we voted, we took an impromptu decision to have dinner.
Chose from the "new menu" (which seemed little changed from the "old menu" other than an increase in price).
I've eaten there a couple of times before, and have had a reasonable "Wiltshire ham, egg and chips"....

Cold Dull looking Roast Potatoes - Luke Warm Veg - Very Very Little Meat - Gravy Was The Warmest Thing On The Plate - Lovely Helpful Polite Waiting Staff - Grumpy Looking Chef Mean With Meat Portions Given The Price U Pay - May Give It Another Try Later In The Year To See If There Has Been An Improvement.
Since the Pheasant reopened after the refurb as a carvary joint, I have been many times. I have heard some good reviews and some bad ones. For me, I cant say I have had an unpleasant experience there.

The pub looks very welcoming on my last visit I went to the manager and gave him feedback on how good the service and food was .WHAT HAS GONE WRONG....COLD and tastless food the service was terrible should have complained.Sorry won't be going back.
Tasteless and cold food. Not much more to say and will not be going back ever. In their favour we did get a refund.

Been here twice now so thought I should write a review. It's a lovely large pub with a warm welcoming. Has a large car park so you won't struggle to find a space to park the car. The pub also has a large seating area situated away from the carvery so you won't see the que when your eating.
