Waiting staff very good and friendly food was ok not brilliant and the twice fried chips were a little dark and soggy My burger was home made but rather dry and the bun collapsed

Very pleasant ambience and a good place for a pint. I have eaten there a few times but find the menu a bit boring and expensive these days. I think the food was better when the place was scruffier!

We had lots of varying ages and tastes gathered together for my Dad's 82nd birthday - food was good, service equally good, wine excellent. A great place.

Found hard , small pieces of plastic (I think) in my salad. Didn't feel so great (or appetizing) chomping down on them. Restaurant employee (manager?) did nothing when pointed it out to her besides, "oh, that's not good!" Dessert was good, but not on the house after that experience. One hour wait for a steak sandwich & lasagne! Only reason we were told is that there was a function upstairs....NOT OUR ISSUE! Food was just pub type food...good but just pub food... Won't be back when there are excellant places in Stamford.
