Restaurant Feinschmecker lost their one Michelin star but do NOT let that fool you. Lars Erik still serves excellent food in a very quite & calming atmosphere and their service is the best in class. Great sommeliers too!

Nice interior, we had a chambre separee. Excellent food and wine, service of course expectedly so too
I ate at this restaurant on Valentines Day 2012 and had a pleasant stay at Feinschmecker. We ate delicious food, several courses. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great and the service was excellent! We requested a special dessert and that was not a problem at all. I will recommend this restaurant to friends and others!
I had read the atmosphere at the restaurant was laid back, so it took me by surprise a bit upon entering the restaurant we saw the 'corporate type' with their jackets, on a Saturday evening no less. Nonetheless, we were ushered to our table, and made our order of appetisers (roast king crab with herb salad, and mussel soup with...

We went to this restaurant tonight as Oscarsgate was full. We had a great experience. Both waiters were great and very helpful. Their English was much better than people I know in the US. We had the turbot and the sea bass and both were excellent. We also had a strawberry dessert with sorbet and mousse that was a great...

We had a delicious meal at Feinschmecker. The staff were very friendly and welcoming even though we arrived stressed and 25 minutes late as our taxi driver claimed to not know where the restaurant was.The space was beautiful, food was one of the best meals we have had.
We were a party of 12 people in the chambre separee. The food we got served, a seven course meal, was not the same as the menu presented on the restaurants website. The staff was nice enough about it, and we chose to go along with it. The food was good, but the blue cheese-icecream was a bit to challenging...

For over two decades, we have chosen Feinschmecker for special celebrations and occasions when we wanted a special meal.
The professional friendliness, the menu, the atmosphere - always up to expectations.
None of the quasi-fancy artsy presentations, which take over the upper echelons of Oslo restaurants. No, well-prepared, professionally presented continental food with a touch of Scandinavia. And that is...

Very expensive, but the staff is helpfull and the food is delicious (small courses). A great experience, if you pay the price. Not very sentral, but in a very nice and wealthy area (Frogner).
Located somewhat away from the city centre, but the staff were extremely helpful despite us being 40 minutes late for the reservation. Also took time to explain over the phone how to get to their restaurant from the city centre.
Food was excellent, and the chef cared enough to deliver our main courses himself and introduce the items to us....
