Der Steirer is conveniently located close to the famous Altstadt. The restaurant serves wonderful Styrian food and wine. In addition, they have a shop where you can buy wine and other delicacies.

The food is very good. Traditionally Austrian, but perhaps not as heavy as other places. It is a bit more expensive than other options, but it's worth the extra money and with Austrian prices being generally lower than other countries, it won't break the bank anyway. Service was efficient and unintrusive.

I ate here once on my stay in Graz and was very pleased. The food was excellent!!

Yesterday we ate in Steirer. We came there at afternoon and stayed for three hours . Four of us ate wiener schnitzel.. we paid 165 eur. Service was very slow we waited for the food very long time and young waiter was confused... Food was good not excelent for that money, we will come back but not so soon!

Can only confirm the other reviews - a great dining experience, especially the local tapas and a good selection of wines. Separate non-smoking and smoking areas (not just a little cubicle plonked next to the toilets).
