We visited the restaurant in January on a week long break to the city. We had been advised that this place was great and we were not let down in any way, great service with English spoken clearly and freely making the experience even easier. The restaurant is lowly lit providing an intimate atmosphere and the staff were well informed... More

This restaurant is known to be on the higher end but not so expensive, we felt everything was good, the value and the food. We were recommended to go here from our good friends and we loved it. We had the fish set that was out of this world! Very nice.

This is high profile place. As can be seen inside that they got many awards including one from 2013. Surprisingly, they are only slightly more expensive comparing to the average prices in downtown Reykjavik. The only reason that I will not come back is that they serve puffins and whales - I am really against tourist delicatessen.

After our tour of Iceland we stayed a few days in Reykjavik. Looking for a restaurant we decided to go to the Fish Company, we've walked past it on several occasions. How glad we were to have chosen this restaurant. The food was most excellent, the waiters explained everything and seemed to take pride in the dishes. The fennel in... More

We ended up here by asking a random person in the street and we were not disappointed. We had the fish set menu and could not fault it. This is one of the best restaurants we have ever dined at - we would see this as a 'must' if you are visiting Iceland/Reykavik and want to ensure you have sampled... More

Wow! This place is amazing. Located in the cellar of the old port the ambiance is so unique with dark woods and stone. The menu is incredible with many Icelandic and international specialties. The waitstaff were all so very friendly and really accomodating. When serving any course they tell you exactly EVERYTHING that is on the plate. An excellent selection... More

I have walked past this restaurant so many times but this was my first visit, with three friends who also had not been there before. We arrived before twelve and got a table and soon after the place was just packed. Our waiter was Mani and he patiently explained the menu for us. Service was swift and easy and we... More

This restaurant lived up to and exceeded everyone´s expectations. We basically picked it based on its ranking on TA and hoped for the best. Practically everyone in our international group of 14 guests had nothing but high praise for the quality of the food, the freshness of all the ingredients and the beautiful, non-contrived way each dish was presented. The... More
