We took our parents here for dinner on our vacation, because they never tried sushi before... we asked the chef to give us a mix of his own... Staff was very friendly, appetizers were ok but not too great. Sushi itself was very tasty, fresh and nice presentation. We only were blown away by the bill... Seen the low prices... More

It was hot summer night, and a friend had recommended this restaurant. We had first ordered a bottle of wine and, a few seconds later, a bottle of water. The chef (already a bit tipsy) yelled at us telling us to calm down. ...a few months later... We didn't know that the new restaurant at the Hotel Fenix was the... More

We went to the new sushi restaurant in the hotel. The waiters were very kind as they took our order and serve us the wine. When we food arrived, we asked for a bit more wasabi. The sushi chef started to yell at us. We were shocked. When we complained to the reception, that said that the restaurant was a... More

The sushi was good, but the bill were out of everything you would suspect in Porto. we've paid 80 EUR for a starter and main course with 10 rolls and some additional rolls (6). Be aware if you will go to eat there, they will take all your money.

I've been to many sushi restaurants in and out or Porto and Portugal, but this one is by far the best. In fact, overall, this is one of the best restaurants I've been to. Going to Kyodai is a foodie experience. There is no menu and the chef will simply prepare what he wants. He creates a well balanced meal... More

He is a swindler. Absolutely overpriced, quality nothing special. We paid 68 euros for one bad starter, one tray of sushi with 10 pieces and two deserts that were not terrible but not good at all. Wine was terrible. We don't recommend this place at all.

Kyodai's sushi is excellent. The fish was very fresh and judging by the comments, that's always the case. Sushi is chosen by the chef in pseudo-Japanese style, which makes for an interesting meal. The problem was the bill. We were charged Paris style rates, which in Porto can only be described as predatory. The basic selection was expensive considering that... More

Restaurant is in a small street and entrance can easily be missed but find it! We just trusted to the chef/owner and everything was superb. Fresh fish sashimi, lovely tuna tataki and all beautifully presented. When bill came, very pleasant surprise.

We loved this very small sushi restaurant in Ribeira. Truly some of the best sushi we have had. The owners were fantastic and offered a great culinary experience.
