We had the black pork and the pork cheeks. The food was good, the meat was tender. The rice was a little bit overcooked, but still was nice, as well as the spinach and the cheese and mushrooms we had as starters.

A wonderful little restaurant lost in the middle of Evora with superb food and wine. I enjoyed it immensely with my partners. Although simple in the decor, the food is top quality and the cook an extremely nice lady.

The black pork with clams was amazing! We were only in Evora two nights and wished we had returned the 2nd night instead of wasting our money on Taberna Tipica Quarta-Feira. Recommended by hotel. Not very friendly welcome but warmed as the evening went on. We both had pork and it was good, except it was cooked in lashings of garlic and this was a little overpowering. Price 60EU for two including wine and desert. Price could easily escalate.

This is a small restaurant in centre of Evora. We had great food here and although we can understand some of the comments on perhaps a lack of atmosphere we had an excellent evening and they even mended my broken shoe!!!!

It's the best food you can get in Evora. However quite often the bill will destroy the fine dinning experience. I've spent a couple of time around 100€ per person. Kind of bitter.

Hard to find, but worth looking for, this place has amazing appetizers and very good main courses in traditional Alentejo style. Friendly and relatively quick service. Very good value.
