Tired and cold we wandered into this unassuming cafe steps from the square in Brugges. all we wanted was a sweet and a hot drink. At 5 euros, the hot chocolate seemed pricey. But, wait! It came served in a specially designed thermal Swiss cup. It was delicious. Take it from a fan of this drink. And, because of the...

We've visited Bittersweet twice during our stay at Bruges and on both occasions
the experience was great. The owners of the place, Liesbeth and Frederick, are
very friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
We would recommend the omelettes and hot chocolate. The breakfasts are great as
well. Definitely a place to visit again...

We stayed 5 days in Bruges and I have to admit that we went to eat at Bittersweet 3 times - the service was great, the owners chatted friendly to us, recommended some of their sweets, which we gladly sampled and truly everything we tasted in there was very good and of high quality. We had the Belgian-style waffles with...

Fresh orange juice, a number of local bread rolls, croissants, specialty jams and spreads and a wide selection of teas (coffee is also available) make this a great breakfast to sustain you on a long walk around Brugge. It was really worth going. The hotel was charging 19 Euro for similar and at the time this cost 11 Euro, a...

After reading the reviews for Bittersweet I took my bf on a beeline there when we got to Bruges. We weren't disappointed! After an amazing chocolate tulip hot chocolate (served with various sweets and biscuits) and croque moiseur on Saturday, we returned the next day for lunch where I had the best omelette I've ever eaten! The owner (I'm assuming...

A great little cafe in Brugge. The combination of the coffee and sweet cookies made our day. I had a warm and nice quality time with my husband. They even provided a warm blanket since we were sitting outside and the weather was pretty cold. The waitress was also friendly and kind to us. Great experience!!

We went at the Bittersweet for breakfast. The place is indeed small but the food and staff make up for it!
The food is very nicely presented and is excellent! Homemade jam, orange juice, great bread.
The waitress was adorable. I asked for a bottle of water because I wanted to take some tablets for my headache. When she saw...
