The reviews and critical recommendations were quite good, so I chose La Belle Maraichere for our Easter dinner. It was very disappointing. The food was not just unexceptional, but poor. Food was overcooked and fairly tasteless, service was missing. We were hustled upstairs to a table, though a reservation had been made well in advance. More

Amazing food, every time I come there it's just fantastic. The food is so fresh and deliciously prepared; great atmosphere and great service. If you like good food, especially fish you should go here. More

Always a treat, never dissapointed. I lunch in La Belle Maraichere every time I pass trough Brussels. In about 15 years it has been consistently perfect. Here, no fuss, no show. Just freshness. I like the old fashion style of Belgian cooking, the raw ingredient is the star. Best option: in May Belgian asparagus to start, Fish waterzooie and Dame... More

We were guests of a supplier in Belgium who is a regular guest at this well located restaurant, the food and the service was impeccable and while some of the food seemed somewhat difference for our American taste the overall quality was excellent, we strongly recommend the Sole Meuniere which is a classic French dish and the other variation of... I haven´t been there for a while but the seafood and fish used to be excellent and so was the service. Last time I tried it was fully booked. More

Went here based on the many positive descriptions. But food was either extremely simple, over cooked or tasteless. Service was very efficient but unpersonal. And we had to seat upstairs which contrary to original restaurant room downstairs, was cold and bare. Price value was bad. This typically one of those restos that started years ago and build a great reputation... More

The fish soup is so good! It is a must when you go to this charming restaurant. They offer a lot a Belgian specialities such as eels in green sauce, shrimp croquettes, seafood waterzooi, sting ray in caper sauce, cod fish mousseline sauce and my favorite dessert, dame Blanche! The owner greeted us at the door,a very nice touch. More

It is probably one example of how are the typical belgium restaurants , everything is as 30 years ago and also customer's attention is in the same level . If they do not know you will feel as undesired. Waiters have probably learned from Parisian restaurants how to treat poorly their customers, tables and spaces are so limited that you... More

On a cold cold day, it was wonderful to have the bouillabaisse at this restaurant. The mussels were tender, the fish was yummy and the rouille delicious. We also got the fillet of skate that was also lovely in the caper and butter sauce. They give you a free bowl of brown shrimps too as a starter, along with bread... More
