Negative: - a lot of noice, very bad acoustics - unfriendly lady at the bar - kitsch lady like interior - no cookies or extra's - not every guest get a saucer... Postive: - international environment, a lot of guests from the U.K.

I really loved this place when i visited during a recent trip to Brussels. The coffee was spot on, the bagels (consumed after a rather heavy night on the strong beer in Brussels) were the best hangover cure and the cinnamon swirl with cream was out of this world. I went twice and will be going back next time i...

The Karsmakers is one of the best places at Place Lux to have a break. They serve very good coffee which is quite hard in that area. You can choose out one of plenty options.
If you are hungry try the Bagels. They are simply amazing!
Between 12.00 and 14.00 it is very crowded as lots of "Eurocrats" making their...

The service and the ambience, plus the great quality of the food and coffee makes this the 'ultimate' cafe in Brussels...mmm! bagel of the day crunchy poppy seed bagel with a slab of blur cheese, roasted parsnip, pear and red cabbage slaw ..delicious.. Usually packed with people but still retaining that warm friendly atmosphere...will be back again ...soon and often!
This place was recommended to me by a woman at my hotel. She said they had delicious bagels and she was right! I ordered a sesame bagel with brie, watercress, honey, apples and walnuts. It was delicious! I love that they also served it with a salad, which I have never had for breakfast before, but it was very good...

A very nice and tasty bagel in the cemter of Brussels. A good variety of bread, friendly atmosphere and service. A little bit expensive for a single bagel and a salad (avarage 12-15 euros), but a very good quality product. Suggested!
Rolling out if bed at 4am to catch a flight to Brussels has the disadvantage of dulling the appetite. Arriving in the European quarter 5 hours later I could have eaten a "scabby dog" as the delightful English saying goes. I sought out karsmakers after perusing TA and I'm glad I did. The coffee was good, the atmosphere buzzy and...

I stumbled upon this place during Sunday Brunch and fell in love! I loved it so much, I am back this morning having breakfast (much better than the 25 EUR at my hotel). Service is great and staff is VERY friendly; great experience for an American.
Just love the place. Relaxed atmosphere. Super-friendly staff and simply the best coffee you can find in Brussels (and I have looked nearly everywhere). Extra bonus: simple but delicious home made cakes and brownies. Free WiFi.
Stayed for two days at a nearby hotel without breakfast included in the hotel price, so I went to this place on both mornings to get a bagel and a cappuccino. The place is well located opposite of the Luxembourg train station, near the EU Parliament. There are many seats available in this cosy coffee house, and the service is...
