Once again I really enjoyed having dinner at Les Saveurs de Yamada. The set menu exists of several dishes and even though it takes plusminus 3 hours to work your way through it, you still have the feeling that you've had a light meal. For drinks I recommend the sake tasting: every sake has a story of its own. More

The restaurant is tiny, only a table or 8 available, so you do best reserving in advance. The interior is not really chic or special, but we felt right at ease. There is no ordering a la carte, there is a set menu. We had about 8 dishes (several appetisers, miso soup, sashimi, tempura, fish main dish, meat main dish,... More

This tiny restaurant is where you need to head if you want authentic Japanese food or more specifically, the multi-course Kaiseki meal. Absolutely amazing food made with simple, fresh, local ingredients that stay true to the Kaiseki theme is what awaits you here. The fixed menu is the only choice for diners. You can however choose between the full 7... More

True: it is not the most attractive place to dine in this wonderful city. But Japanese food doesn't come any fresher and prepared with more love than here. Forget sushi. This is the real thing. Bentobox for lunch is an all time favorite. Don't spread the word. More

I live in antwerp, have been to this restaurant numerous times, never been disappointed. It is the only kaiseki restaurant in Antwerp, and an excellent one at that. Very imaginative, a delight for the eye and the palate. Don't be fooled by the low-key interior, go for the food and the excellent saké list, you won't regret it. Eating dinner... More

If you want to taste something different from the poor quality sushi places popping up everywhere, this is a good place. It's above average and deserves praise for offering more creative and better quality japanese food but in the land of the blind, one eye is king.... More

First word came to my mind was "Elegance". Food with the depth which is very hard to get from Japanese cuisine out side Japan (not that all the Japanese food in Japan is that good.). Food has sophisticated originality with French twist. Some probably could be categorized as modern Japanese yet not one of those tacky flashy deco also without... More

As close as you can get to a real Kyoto-style kaisekei meal, without going to Kyoto. Simple ingredients turned into a multi-course tasting menu. Incredibly good value for money. I wished they did a more luxury version, with optional larger sashimi and some more sea-food. The sake list and recommended sake's by the glass are expertly chosen and priced accordingly. More

Great service, exquisit food & sake at a fair price. But the interior isn't very cosy. More

I LOVE this place which is THE PLACE TO BE if you want to taste real Japanese food in Antwerp (and probably also in Belgium). I have been there many times and each time it’s a great treat for me. Chef Yamada Koji comes from Kyôto and the food he prepares is based on kaiseki-ryôri cuisine (“perfection on a plate”... More
